Every great podcast needs someone behind the scenes keeping things from completely going off the rails. For Ellis Adventures, that responsibility falls to the mysterious Mandingo the Producer.
Working remotely from an undisclosed location—and probably for good reason—Mandingo brings Janet, the crew, and their guests together from wherever they happen to be. He keeps the technology cooperating, the recording rolling, and occasionally attempts to maintain some semblance of order while everyone else discusses things that would make most HR departments spontaneously combust.
Mandingo is also the questionable creative genius behind the parody commercials heard throughout Ellis Adventures. If you’ve ever wondered who comes up with products nobody asked for—like Coconut Slickums™—Mandingo is probably to blame. He writes, produces, employs AI voices, and unleashes these completely fictional sponsors on an unsuspecting audience, proving that commercial breaks don’t necessarily have to sell anything.
His official responsibilities include producing the show, creating ridiculous advertising for products that don’t exist, maintaining plausible deniability, and preserving enough evidence to prove that yes, they really did say that.
